Sun Day!!!!!

I have had a great weekend with lots of BBQ's & lazing in the sun!!!! I also managed a couple of cards today!
This is my entry for this weeks "Penny Black" challenge. I loved the sketch this week, it meant I had an excuse to use the "garden friends" clear stamps again.
Image coloured with water colour paints, wrapping paper for the backing. Ribbons, flowers & gems to embellish.
I enjoyed using these colours for a change. I hope you have had a fab weekend.

Bring on the bling!

This is another card I made on my recent holiday,I thought it would be good for the "CCT" challenge. This week the idea is to have some bling! I used : FF decoupage kit, Papermania vellum, Prima flower, peel off greeting, Gem stone, Lilac Papermania scallop card & Lilac ribbon. I hope you are having a good week. I am looking forward to a more chilled out weekend & hope to do some challenges. Especially as I have been very naughty & ordered the "curved rectangle nesties" from Joanna Sheen. I will be eagerly awaiting the postie!!!! xxx

The cat thats got her cream(in laptop form!)

This is today's card I have made for the "creative inspirations" challenge bog. This is my first attempt at one of their challenges.
Natalie has done a fab sketch this week, and as always I adapted it to meet my needs!
I used DCWV fab papers, and the stamped cat image is from my inkadinkadoo clear set. Ribbons, buttons & fish bone charm to embellish.
I am now getting to grips with my new laptop. I am hopefully going to be able to keep updating my blog more frequently as I won't have too wait my turn for the home PC.
Happy crafting

Celebrate!!!!!!!!

My post today is my entry for the "spoon full of sugar" challenge blog. This week the theme was "celebration" as its the blogs birthday this week! I have decided to enter a card I made on holiday. I used the FF decoupage kit as it was handy to take away. I used Papermania felt trim to embellish. Decoupage is not my usual thing but I enjoyed the instant, thinking free results of this card!!! xxx

1,2,3 a new PC!

This is my entry for this week's PB challenge,"recipe 1,2,3". I used three Prima flowers, two HOTP papers and one pearl brad. My favourite & most versatile stamp ever for the main image! Well hopefully our new laptop will be arriving today so even thou I still won't have the scanner I will have my own PC. Since borrowing Dad's notebook Ive become a dab hand at photographing & uploading from my camera,so at least Ive learnt a new skill!!! Happy crafting xxx

Christmas & Birthday card challenge

Here is my first ever entry to the "just Christmas & Birthday card challenge" blog. I had to do this as my great blogging buddy Nessy is a member of the DT.
I love this sketch, and have just jigged the elements around a little!
Various patterned papers from my scrap box have been used. Sugar Nellie "picking apples" and die cut flowers with gem centres.
I am missing the scanner still, but am really getting to grips with this little notebook!!!!

Back at last

We had a fab holiday in Devon but came back to find the PC has died,so I am without my scanner
(hence the poor pictures).
I have made an Asian inspired card using handmade papers, inkainkadoo stamped lizard & beads to embellish.
I am trying to make an effort to get more variety with my cards,i am quite pleased with the textured feel & bright colours!
Hope to catch up with your blogs,I am a bit slow as I am borrowing my Dad's notebook.
Happy Crafting ;)

A month has past....

Well I can't believe another month has flown by with no time for crafting or blogging!!! I have started training for my run as well as going down the gym. So this combined with all the usual work & family activities has taken all my time!!!! I am on holiday next week in Devon & plan to do some serious crafting in the evenings. I will pack my craft tote full of goodies and enjoying crafting with a glass of wine or two..... Hope you are all well, & I am looking forward to catching up with your blogs when I get back. love Nessie ;)
