The first post of September is my entry to the "CAS" challenge which is this fab sketch! I like love the challenges on this site. The cupcake image is from some Dovecrafts scrapbooking paper, and made the card nice and speedy to make! Polka dot ribbon and a stamped greeting to finish.

Just a quick one.....
Just a quick post as I have not updated my blog for ages, been busy with Amber's 1st birthday and returning to work. There never seems enough hours in the day recently. This weekend we payed a visit to the Hobbycraft store over at Woking,it has a huge selection of goodies, although the prices are not very competitive. I fell in love with these Sizzix heart dies and couldn't resist the patterned felt to use with them . I thought I would use them to make Hubby's anniversary card for Friday.

Fruity!!!!

I think its good to make sure the rules of the challenge are adhered to thou, as there are plenty of non CAS card challenges people can enter if they choose. However there are definitely less challenges for those of us who prefer simple design!!!
Well we are chilling out this weekend in the garden, as its my last weekend off before returning to work following my maternity leave (boo hoo!!!)
Hope you all have a great weekend

Summer time!!!
Today's post is my entry for the "less is more" challenge again. I think this is becoming my favourite challenge site!!!!
I have used a die cut flower again made with my star Nestabillities. The theme this week is "buttons & ribbon" I decided to use both on my card.
Well its another short post as I have the kids at home, so must get back to the lego!!!!

Flower Power
I made this card yesterday with some SU stamps and card stock. I am pleased with the simplicity of it and wanted to record it on my blog. I am loving the clean and simple style of late, and these seem to be the style of cards I enjoy making at the moment. The nice thing is they are quicker to make, so I get two or three done in an evening!!!!

New Home!
Hello everyone in Blogland, hope you are all well and enjoying your crafting. I am at last back for another of my infrequent posts!!! Well I had a bit of spare time last night so I decided to make a "New Home" card for some friends and incorporate it in to the "less is more" challenge, which is circles this week.
I used a Hampton Arts stamp "collectables" for the image and used a combination of paper peicing and colouring. The card was finished with SU grosgrain ribbon and a punched button flower. Less is definatley more!!!!

Less is more!

Today's post is for a new challenge site I found when blog hopping, its called "Less is more". I thought the nice simple sketches were really effective and not to time consuming! Time has been short as ever this month with school holidays and a group holiday to the the Cotswold's so I haven't had much time to myself as usual!
- stamp called "imagine" by Penny Black
- coloured with Promarkers
Hope you are all well

Sweet Sketch in the Sun!

I really enjoy there sketches, so as I don't have much crafting time this tends to be the challenge I enter first!
I wanted quite a clean and simple card as its for my Dad's birthday. I thought the natural colours and simple "stampin up" image work well for men's cards.
I hope you are all well and enjoying the sun. My house is all go as usual, we had Amber's Christening last week and thankfully the weather was glorious!! We are looking forward to catching up with friends this weekend.
Hope you all have a good one!

Sweet Sketch

Today's post is my entry for the "sweet sketch Wednesday challenge", I love this clean and simple sketch!
This card is a Mothers Day card for my Mother in law,I hope she likes it. I used some paper and toppers from the "Making Cards" magazine. I really like the Art Deco look ;) I don't but many craft magazines anymore as they don't seem to teach you much when you have been doing it a while. I still love "Making Cards" and "Craft stamper" thou.
Hope you are all enjoying your weekend! Zack's party was a success yesterday and today its wet out so we are catching up with some chores!
