This weeks challenge was to use no ready made backing papers. My card is my entry for this challenge. I used Sugar Nellie "Maggie dressing up stamp" & matted with nestabilities. I then used cuttlebug embossed backing, bow & flower added.
Second card was going to be my entry but I couldn't resist using the Francois Reade paper as I thought it went well with the Sugar Nellie "picking apples" stamp. Funky ribbon & buttons to embellish as I very into these at the moment!
First Sugar Nellie card. I also used oil pastels for the first time to colour the image. I can see with a bit more practice the pastels will be an effective medium to use.
The dottie card for this Sunday's Magnolia challenge.
These are just a few of my favourite cards I have made for the charity box at St Marks school. The money raised goes to street children in Africa, they sponsor a little boy called Emanuel. I am enjoying blogging now, I think it will be a great way to keep a record of past designs.
I made this card very quickly last night, after my unucessful attempts with shrink plastic lol!!!!
I love the Papernation characters they are so versatile! I coloured image with Sakura jellyroll glaze pens & embellished with a ribbon rose. I like simple cards, & it seems to stand out !!!
A TRIO of vintage coins mounted on to handstamped paper that I TRIED to make myself!!! Peeloff greetings mounted on to ribbon. Thought I would avoid the cute images this week & do something different!!!!
Card made for this weeks funky fairy challenge. Tilda stamped & water coloured. Mounted on to stamped happy birthday back round & patterned papers. embellished with ribbon, beads (in hair), buttons & eyelets. A bit busier than my normal style but I think I like it!!!
This is my entry for the Tilda challenge on the Do Crafts forum. This week the task I set was to use some form of cut work on the cards. I used scalloped edged scissors to cut patchwork squares from handmade paper. I also had great fun using my fab new border & decorative accent cuttlebug dies for the borders. I will remember to use more handmade papers they seem to suit the Magnolia stamps.
Completed my combined entry for both challenges this week as I was running out of time lol!!!
Martha stamped & watercoloured, layered on to inked & torn papers. Embellished with ribbon yarn, flowers, tag & stickers.
