Christmas for the guys!

Today's card is my entry for this weeks Penny black challenge "Christmas for the men". I decided to make a card for my brother using one of the images from my clear stamp set. Thought I would emboss the lines on the card & keep the embellishments minimal for a masculine feel card. Recipe:
  • Pb image coloured with promarkers
  • Papermill card
  • Nesties dies
  • Embossed lines using crafters companion embossing board.
  • Ribbon & pearls from stash
  • Computer generated greeting

Hope you are having a good week. I will not be around much at the end of the week as I am working over time at work this weekend. I've got to get the pennies in for Christmas!

Bear Hug

Today's card is another for the Christmas box as I've got some catching up to do! I had a sudden need to do a bit of crafting tonight & I enjoyed making this one. This card is also my entry for two challenges this week. The theme was something new or neglected on your card this week on "Creative inspirations". My border punch is my neglected item as I love it but don't use it as much as I should. My new item is the FF stamp which was free with the new issue of "Creativity" magazine. On the promarkers blog the challenge this week was to use this fab sketch with any of your promarkers. My FF image has been coloured with saffron & sandstone.

Recipe: Papermill card, FF stamped image coloured with promarkers, Fiskars lace edged border punch, Green bow from stash, Die cut greeting .

Hope you are all well in blog land. I had a good catch up with your blogs this afternoon & enjoyed every minute! I think you've inspired me to do a bit more crafting again! xxx

Lost my mojo!

Today's post is long overdue,I have officially lost my mojo over the last couple of weeks & can't get into making cards at all! I am starting to panic as I only have 30 Christmas cards made so need to get cracking!!!! This is one of the 4 new baby cards I have made for all the new arrivals that are due in November. I find the scalloped edge cards work well for baby cards. Hope you are all well, any tips on how to inspire me will be gratefully received!! xxx

Promarkers challenge

Today's post is my entry for the Promarkers challenge blog. This week you could use any colours with the following recipe: 3 shapes,2 papers,1 ribbon. I love doing recipes as they are a bit more creative than a sketch. Recently I have not been so keen on doing all the sketch challenges, its nice to have a bit more input. Particularly as I love the simpler, fresher card layouts. Hope you are having a good week, Autumn collages went down a storm at Toddler group,so just a night shift on the ward to get through now lol!!!! xxx

In the pink!

Quick post today as we are off to a friends house for lunch & then I have toddler group craft to prepare this afternoon! I have made this card for a friends birthday next week. The card is also my entry for the "3 clovers" challenge blog, this is the first time I've entered this one. I have used Marshmallow from "Daisy & Dandelion" stamp set. Coloured with Promarkers, I have got a few of the new shades which are very pretty. I would never spend all that money on collecting the full set, I have about 40 pens now and feel this is enough to achieve good results. Happy Crafting xxx

Back with a challenge at last!

Today's post is my entry for the "JCBC's" challenge blog,I loved this clean & simple sketch this time. This is my first post for about 10 days, what a bad blogger! I have not really been in a crafty mood. However today I have sorted out my shed & unpacked a few Promarkers and a "Daisy & Dandelion" kit I treated my self too. I never usually use kits anymore but I am really enjoying making a few cards with decoupage & stickers for a change. I know its cheating, but it can be satisfying getting a few more done when time is short!
Recipe
  • Daisy & Dandelion papers,stickers & greeting
  • Gold ribbon
  • gold bow

Hope you have a nice weekend & hope to get some blog hopping done soon!
