Sew little Progress!!!
Just thought I would do a quick blog update to tell you about my very slow sewing progress for the challenge!! This picture is an example of that, it may be a small project but it represents something bigger. I have mastered zips!!! woohoo!!! Something I will definitely find useful for the next years challenge!!!
I went shopping yesterday and was very tempted by the lovely jumpers in the shops at the moment, but I am please to say I stayed strong!! My eBay party dress arrived last week and its a bargain for £2.99!!! Just going to make a new sash for it.
I have finally decided on my first project too, just off to the shop this afternoon to purchase some bias binding and hook and eyes and all will be revealed next week!!!

New Crafty challenge!!
Hello all, just thought I would update my blog and give a little bit of information about a new challenge I have decided to join!!!
The "love what you wear project" is a brilliant challenge by Bristol Designer Morwhenna Woolcock. The aim of the challenge is to abstain from buying new clothes for a year starting from the 1at November. Instead the aim is to recycle/upcycle, buy secondhand or vintage or customise and make your clothes from scratch!!! (with the exception of underwear & shoes).
I have decided to join this challenge for several reasons:
* To become more frugal
* To learn to be able to make my own simple garments. My Grandmother was a dressmaker for the Royal court, and I have always wanted to be able to make a dress like she did!! A challenge in itself as I have only been able to sew about a year lol!!
* To increase creativity, I love a good charity shop bargain anyway but I am hoping this challenge will inspire me to alter and adapt my purchases a bit more!!!
Well that's all for now, I will keep you updated on my progress throughout the challenge. Please check out www.thelovewhatyouwearproject.blogspot.com for more information and inspiring ideas!!!

Christmas Gift hearts
Today's post features my Christmas Gift hearts, ideal to pop in those gift vouchers or little treats and to hang from the fireplace or Christmas Tree. I made these using delightful fabric from a fat quarter bundle from Emma's Fabric Studio and they are embellished with felt pockets, ribbons and buttons from Sew Sweet, These are two of my favourite on line shops at the moment with a great selection of Christmas themed goodies!!!

Is my blog still here????
Hello has anyone seen my blog lol??? I thought I would log in and check my dashboard to see what everyone else has been up to then I saw I haven't posted since March!!!! Time really flies these days. I thought I would post and tell you about my crafting activities.
I received a sewing machine for my birthday in March, so since then I have been doing a bit of basic sewing trying to improve. I have made lots of drawstring and tote bags, some pram blankets any my latest project (see pic above) an upcycled skirt for my daughter using an old Tshirt!!!
I am really enjoying sewing its very addictive like paper craft. There are also lots of lovely buttons and embellishments to collect and buying fabric is just as addictive as paper lol!!!
My third crafting hobby is baking!!! I bake every week for the school cake stall and love doing fancy biscuits and cupcakes for the children. I also make cupcake toppers which I personalise for Birthdays etc....
I had not made a card for ages but last night I had the urge!!! So I went out to my shed to make a challenge card. I forgot how much I enjoyed it. Although when I look at my cards now I am never happy with the end result. Hopefully this will come when I get back into it???
Hope you are all well and life has been kind, I look forward to catching up with your posts.

Birthday Cutie
Ooh I am excelling myself at blogging this month lol!! Here is a card I made for an Aunty's birthday this week. After buying the new Do crafts magazine I was very inspired by the free gift of this little "Boffle" stamp.
Punched flowers and stamped buttons along with the polka dots for a funky feel. Greeting is from the "tiny wishes" stampin up set and the word window punch. I am finding that my favourite Stampin up products are definatley the greetings stamps and the punches!!!
I am also hoping my card qualifies for the fab "sweet sketch wednesday" challenge blog. Although I have used a circle instead of an oval!!! I am also entering into the "cupcakes craft challenge" this week it has a dotty theme!
Hope you are all well, I am off for a blog hop!!!

Fairy Fun
Today's post is one of the cards I have made for Mothering Sunday. I wanted to do a fairy theme this year. I used a fairy square from crafters companion for the main image. The back ground is some hand made paper which I attacked with my glitter spritz for a bit of sparkle!!!
The most useful "top note" die from Stampin up was used in conjunction with their gorgeous new papers from the salebration catalogue. The card was embellished with swirls, flowers and gems!!!
Hope you are all well, I am off for a blog hop!!!

Birthday Boy!!!!!
Today I thought I would update my blog and do a post, its been ages since my last one!!!! This is a birthday card I have made for my gorgeous little man who will be five next week!!! I can't believe where that time has gone. Zack is very into ships and boats at the moment following a visit to Portsmouth dockyard with the Grandparents over half term. Hence I decided on a boat themed card using my "need for speed" stamp set from Stampin up.
I have really enjoyed being part of Sarah Jane's stampin 6 club, the only problem is deciding what stamps I need most lol!!!!
I am off to catch up with your blogs and give my a fresh new look lol!!
